Features

Inspired by classic tabletop role-playing games, Draconic features a diverse and thematic class system designed for strategic combat and party synergy. As characters level up, they improve core stats, unlock new skills, and gain powerful abilities that enhance their effectiveness in battle.

Later encounters demand sharp tactics—enemies will wield stronger armor, magical defenses, and elemental resistance. Building a team with strong class synergy becomes crucial to surviving the late game and reclaiming the Dragonarch Throne.

Form powerful alliances, conquer your fears, and forge your legacy as the Dracorex.

Turn-Based Battle System

Draconic features a classic turn-based battle system inspired by iconic JRPGs and modern 2.5D titles. When an encounter begins, your party and enemy mobs enter the battlefield using fully rendered 3D models that reflect equipped gear and visual upgrades in real time.

Turn order is calculated dynamically behind the scenes—based on party and monster stats—to determine tactical sequencing. Characters can perform a variety of combat actions:

  • Basic Attacks

  • Elemental and Class-Based Magic

  • Item Usage for healing or enhancement

  • Dragon Arts, powerful skills tied to ancestral lineage

Combat is about more than hitting hard—it's about synergy, timing, and adaptation.

AI Behavior

Enemy AI evaluates your party on threat level and prioritizes actions accordingly, selecting targets who pose the greatest risk. AI turns scale with your party size, creating flexible but challenging encounters.

This system supports scalable combat complexity, from early-game skirmishes to endgame boss battles requiring full party coordination and strategic ability use.

Random Encounters – Danger Zones & Dynamic Combat

Draconic features a Danger Zone system where players trigger random combat encounters while exploring hostile regions. Each area is assigned a Challenge Rating that determines both the number of mobs encountered and their tactical makeup.

Zone-Based Encounters

  • Every zone has a unique pool of enemies—some global (e.g. bandits, goblins), others biome-specific (e.g. water-dwelling creatures).

  • Encounter frequency and strength scale with party composition and regional difficulty.

  • Stronger party? Expect multi-wave skirmishes or elite mobs. Smaller crew? Encounters adjust accordingly to keep the challenge tight.

This system keeps players engaged and on edge while they explore, combining classic overworld tension with adaptive combat scenarios. Whether you're trudging through a haunted marsh or climbing frostbitten ruins, your party will need to stay alert—and synergize—to survive the unknown.
