Draconic (working title)

Features

Turn Based Battle System

Draconic uses a turn-based battle system like the ones seen in other JRPB style games. Once a battle starts a player’s party is thrown into the battle, based on the stats of the party and monsters turn order is established behind the scenes. Characters have a variety of actions that can be taken including: Attacks, Magic, Item Usage, and Dragon Arts. During battles full 3D models are used for the party characters and mobs, these models will also reflect equipped items.

Random Encounters

In what are called ‘Danger Zones’ players will be rolling from random combat encounters. Each area that a player can enter is given a level or Challenge rating that will determine the amount and type of mobs that can be. Each area will also have a unique pool of mobs that inhabit the region, while bandits and goblins may appear anywhere, drowned will only appear near water. This system is also designed for players to always be challenged based on their current adventuring party.

Class System

Characters in Draconic fall into a number of classes, similar to that of classic tabletop role playing games. As characters level up, improve their stats and skills, or unlock new abilities to improve their effectiveness in combat. Having a good synergy is needed for later in the game as enemies become increasingly resilient and use better armor or magical defenses in combat. Build your party, form powerful alliances, conquer your fears and forge a new legacy in Draconic
